The money side of videography businesses is rarely as tidy as the accounting software assumes. In professional services the cost of delivery is mostly your own time, which never shows up on a bank statement. That sounds like it makes the numbers easy. It actually makes them misleading, because a month where you did brilliant work and a month where you did almost nothing can look very similar in the bank if the invoices land at the same time.
The real problem is the gap between doing work and being paid for it. You finish in March, invoice at the end of March, agree thirty days, and see the money in May if the client is prompt. Two or three clients paying late at once is a cash flow problem even when the business is doing well on paper.
Costs are small but persistent. Software subscriptions in particular have a habit of multiplying quietly. Most people running a services business are surprised by their annual software total the first time they see it in one place.

Where the money went
Upload a statement and Cashowa does the sorting. Free to start, no card needed.
Three situations that come up constantly in videography businesses.
Cashowa charts money in by month. Line that up against when you did the work and the lag becomes obvious. Most people find it is longer than they thought, and that knowing the number changes how much buffer they keep.
Recurring payments get detected and grouped, so every tool you pay for monthly shows up as one list with an annual figure attached. It is a common way to find two tools doing the same job.
Nearly every services business has a rhythm. August and December are usually slow. Seeing it on a chart lets you plan the year around it rather than being surprised by it twice a year.
Switch between monthly, quarterly and yearly to see the pattern.
August and late December are quiet almost everywhere in professional services. January and September are usually the strongest months for new work starting.
Upload twelve months and the pattern stops being something you half remember. You can switch between monthly, quarterly and yearly, which matters when income arrives in lumps and a single month tells you very little.
If you hold stock or materials, Cashowa tracks what you have, what it cost and what is running low. Enter a count once and it counts down as things get used, so you are not retyping numbers every week.
Add a lead time and it warns you before something runs out, rather than after.

Built around how videography businesses work, not around a generic business.
Recurring payments grouped with an annual figure attached, which is usually the fastest saving available.
Cashowa spots recurring payments and shows you the annual cost. Most people cancel something within the first week.
Monthly charts show the lag between work and payment, and the seasonal dips that catch people out.
Especially useful in the first couple of years when everything runs through one account.
Type a question in plain language and get an answer with the transactions behind it, rather than building a pivot table.
These get recognised and sorted on their own when they turn up on your statement. If something specific to your setup gets filed wrongly, you fix it once and it sticks.
Export a statement, upload it, and the categorising happens on its own.
