How to cancel Showtime
Showtime standalone is now part of Paramount+ with Showtime. Cancel via Paramount+ or the platform you signed up on.
The standalone Showtime app shut down in 2024. Showtime content now lives inside Paramount+ — you get it by subscribing to Paramount+ with Showtime ($12.99/mo).
If you have Paramount+ with Showtime:
- Sign in at paramountplus.com → profile → Account
- Click Cancel Subscription OR Change Plan (to downgrade to Paramount+ Essential at $7.99 and lose Showtime content)
- Click Continue to Cancel → confirm
If you still see Showtime billing separately: Some legacy Showtime subscriptions (especially through Amazon Prime Video Channels, Apple TV channels, or Hulu add-ons) continued post-merger. Cancel through wherever you're billed:
- Amazon Prime Video Channels: amazon.com → Account → Memberships and Subscriptions → Showtime → Cancel
- Apple TV channels: Settings → [name] → Subscriptions → Showtime → Cancel
- Hulu add-on: Hulu → Account → Manage Add-ons → Showtime → Cancel
- Cable provider add-on: Call your cable provider
By phone: 1-877-742-6849 (Showtime customer service still answers for legacy questions). Useful if you're not sure where the charge is coming from.
Free month deals: Showtime sometimes offers a free month via specific cable providers, T-Mobile bundles, or boxing/MMA pay-per-view events. Worth a search for current promos before paying full price.
