How to cancel Patreon (per-creator)
Cancel individual Patreon memberships from your account — each creator is a separate subscription.
Each Patreon membership is a separate subscription. Cancelling one doesn't affect others. You manage them all from a single page.
Online:
- Sign in at patreon.com → click your avatar (top right) → Manage memberships
- Find the creator you want to unsubscribe from → click Edit
- Click Cancel membership at the bottom
- Confirm. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Free / public posts continue. Cancelling a paid tier doesn't stop following the creator entirely — you keep seeing free posts. To fully unfollow, on the creator's page click Following → Unfollow.
Billing date varies by creator. Some creators bill at the start of the month for everyone (monthly billing date), others bill on the anniversary of when you joined (per-creator billing). Your "Manage Memberships" page shows the next billing date for each individually.
Mid-month cancellation: If you cancel mid-cycle, no refund. You keep tier access (Discord, exclusive content, merch shipments) until billing ends. For tiers that ship physical items, cancel before the cutoff date the creator has set — otherwise you'll still get that month's item.
iOS app gotcha: Subscriptions started through Patreon's iOS app are billed via Apple, with a 30% Apple cut making them more expensive. Cancel iOS subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, not in the Patreon app. If you want to keep supporting the creator, cancel the iOS sub and resubscribe via patreon.com on a browser at the lower price.
Annual memberships: Some creators offer annual tiers at a discount. If you signed up for one, no refund on early cancellation — you finish out the year.
