How to cancel Max (HBO Max)

Online:

1. Sign in at max.com (browser)
2. Profile icon → Subscription (or Settings → Subscription)
3. Click Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription
4. Confirm. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.

If you signed up via Apple/Google/Amazon/Roku: Max's site shows you a notice telling you to cancel from that platform's subscription settings instead. Max doesn't have access to bills you didn't pay them directly.

If you signed up via your cable provider (Xfinity, DirecTV, etc.): call your cable provider — Max can't remove the subscription, only the company billing you can.

Cheaper option before cancelling: Max has an ad-supported tier at $9.99/mo (less than half the ad-free price). If cost is the issue, drop the tier rather than cancel.
