How to cancel Match.com

Online:

1. Sign in at match.com → click your profile photo (top right) → Account Settings
2. Click Manage Subscription → Status: Subscription
3. Click Turn off Automatic Subscription Renewal (this is the only "cancel" — Match doesn't let you end the current period early)
4. Confirm

You finish out the period you paid for. Match's policy: no refunds, no early termination. You keep full Match access through the end of your current 1/3/6/12-month period, then drop to free at renewal date.

Auto-renewal trap: Match's subscriptions auto-renew at the standard rate, not the promotional rate you initially paid. A 6-month sub at $19.99/mo ($120 total) renews at $44.99/mo standard. Always check your renewal date at signup and set a calendar reminder 7 days before to decide whether to keep.

6-month "Guarantee": Match's 6-month subscription comes with a "find someone special" guarantee — if you don't, they extend your subscription free for 6 more months. To qualify, you must have:

• Logged in regularly
• Sent first messages to multiple people
• Filled out your profile completely
• Submitted the guarantee request within 14 days after your initial 6 months end

If you're cancelling because Match didn't work for you, claim the guarantee FIRST — 6 free months might change your math.

Profile vs subscription: Cancelling the subscription doesn't delete your profile. You go to a free tier where you can read messages but can't send new ones. To delete the profile entirely: Settings → My Account → Delete My Account.
