How to cancel LinkedIn Premium

Online:

1. Sign in at linkedin.com → click your profile photo (top right) → Settings & Privacy
2. Click Account preferences → Subscriptions and payments → Manage next to your Premium plan
3. Click Cancel subscription
4. LinkedIn shows retention screens (downgrade, pause, discount). Skip them with Continue to Cancel
5. Confirm

Trial gotcha: LinkedIn's "free month" auto-converts to a paid subscription at the end. To trial-and-cancel safely:

• Set a calendar reminder for day 28 of the 30-day trial (not day 30 — leave buffer)
• Cancel BEFORE the trial ends, not at the end. You keep Premium for the rest of the trial period.

Plan tiers: Career ($29.99), Business ($59.99), Sales Navigator ($99.99), Recruiter Lite ($170+). If you only use one feature heavily (InMail, who viewed your profile, salary insights), it's often worth keeping a cheaper tier than full cancellation.

Refunds: LinkedIn refunds annual plans cancelled within 7 days of renewal — call 1-877-263-8780 to request, they handle it case-by-case. Outside 7 days, you finish the year you paid for.

Useful free alternatives: Sales Navigator has no free version, but Hunter.io, Apollo.io free tiers cover much of the prospecting use case.
