How to cancel Hinge
Cancel Hinge where you bought it — iOS Settings, Google Play, or hinge.co. App-side cancel only turns off auto-renew.
Cancel where you bought it. Like most dating apps, Hinge subscriptions are processed through whichever platform you signed up on, and only that platform can cancel.
iOS: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Hinge → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play Store → profile (top right) → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hinge → Cancel.
Web (hinge.co): Sign in → Settings → Manage Subscription → Cancel (only available if you signed up on the web).
Subscription tier vs profile: Cancelling Hinge+/HingeX drops you to the free tier — you keep your profile, photos, prompts, and matches. You lose Unlimited Likes, Standouts, and the priority features.
Hinge+ vs HingeX vs free:
- Free: 8 likes per day, limited Standouts
- Hinge+ ($14.99-$31.99/mo depending on age): Unlimited likes
- HingeX ($35-$60+/mo): Hinge+ plus priority placement, recommended matches
If you're cancelling because you got a date or because the cost is too high, downgrading to Hinge+ from HingeX often makes the cost question go away.
Age-based pricing alert: Hinge dynamically prices based on age — users over 30 are typically charged 2-4x more than users in their 20s. This isn't a glitch. If you're paying $30+/mo on Hinge+ and a younger friend pays $14.99, that's why.
Delete the profile too: Cancelling the subscription doesn't delete your account. Settings → Account → Delete Account removes you entirely (you stop appearing in feeds within ~24 hours).
