How to cancel HelloFresh
Cancel HelloFresh online — but pause first if you might come back. Skip future deliveries up to 5 weeks in advance.
HelloFresh's "cancel" flow is designed to convert you into a pause. Be ready to click through retention offers.
Online:
- Sign in at hellofresh.com → click your profile (top right) → Account Settings
- Click Cancel Plan at the bottom of the page
- HelloFresh shows several retention screens:
- Skip weeks (you can skip up to 5 weeks at a time without cancelling)
- Pause subscription (longer-term, similar to cancel but easier to resume)
- Discounted boxes (often $40 off the next 3 boxes)
- To actually cancel, click Continue Cancelling through each screen. Then click Confirm Cancellation.
Skip weeks vs cancel: Most "I'm cancelling because I'm travelling/busy" cases are better served by skipping weeks. You can skip up to 5 weeks at a time via the calendar in your account — no commitment to come back, no fee.
Cancellation cutoff: HelloFresh's deadline to cancel a specific week's box is 5 days before delivery (usually Wednesday at midnight for a Monday delivery, but check your timezone). If you cancel too late, you'll still get (and be charged for) the next box.
Reactivation: Cancelled accounts can resubscribe any time — your account, profile, and past meal history stay accessible. HelloFresh almost always sends "come back" emails with discount codes within 2-3 weeks of cancellation — wait for one before resubscribing.
By phone if web cancel is broken: 1-646-846-3663 (US). Useful if you're hitting a "we couldn't process your cancellation" loop on the web.
