How to cancel Calm
Cancel Calm online or via your app store. Annual subscriptions get a 7-day refund window after renewal.
Where you cancel depends on where you signed up.
On Calm.com (web signup):
- Sign in at calm.com → click your profile (top right) → Manage Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Calm shows a retention offer (typically 30% off for 3 months). Click Continue Cancellation to skip.
- Confirm. Access continues until your billing date.
iOS (App Store signup): Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Calm → Cancel Subscription.
Android (Google Play signup): Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Calm → Cancel.
Annual plan refund: Calm refunds annual subscriptions if cancelled within 7 days of renewal. Email support@calm.com within that window — they process refunds case-by-case, usually within 5 business days.
Family Plan: Cancel from the primary account; cancels access for all 6 members. Notify family before cancelling.
Free alternatives that are genuinely good:

- YouTube — most popular Calm meditations have free equivalents from teachers like Tara Brach and Sam Harris
Sam Harris's Waking Up: If you cancelled Calm because of cost but still want a structured app, Waking Up offers a "scholarship" — you email support saying you can't afford the subscription and they grant a full free year, no questions asked.
